
JP/Chiba – A man on trial over four killings including the double murder of a company president’s wife and daughter was handed the death penalty Thursday in a ruling at the Chiba District Court.

CA/Vancouver – There should be no parole, ever, for serial killer Clifford Olson, now serving a life sentence for the murders of 11 children, says the New Democratic Party’s critic on public safety.
“There is no place for a dangerous criminal like Mr. Olson in our communities,” said Mike Farnworth, the NDP’s newly installed critic for Public Safety and the Solicitor General. “He is a threat and that fact alone should keep him behind bars.
